To WVU we went this past weekend…

… and to WVU we will go! (That’s West Virginia University in case you didn't know)

Congratulations to Bobby who has not only been accepted into the Masters degree program in the History department there, but has also been granted a Graduate Assistantship (GA) in the Student Services department and will be an academic advisor. The last few months have been grueling as we have been waiting to hear back from schools and weighing all of our options, then hoping and praying for a GA. All of our prayers have been answered, and even an unexpected one… free housing! My very generous aunt & uncle have offered for us to live in a historic, log cabin on their property in southwest Pennsylvania, just 20 minutes from the WVU campus. Here is a picture of it: (the two buildings are attached, and we will be living in both of them)

We're really excited about beginning this new chapter in our lives, but sad about closing the one here in St. Louis. But we're not saying goodbye yet, we still have a few more things to cross off of our must-see-and-do-before-leaving-St Louis list.

What’s going on?

I realize it’s been awhile so I thought I’d write a little update. Since my last post, we’ve endured hot weather and then frigid weather, enjoyed the beauty of the tulips that Joy & I (mostly Joy) planted around the Atherton courtyard, celebrated Bunny’s THIRD birthday!, Bobby went on a 2 day fishing excursion in Oklahoma, and we rejoiced in the resurrection of our Lord Jesus at the Kirk of the Hills and had a delightful meal at our second home in West County (aka Jen & Darren’s house) yesterday.

Bunny found a new place to roam this past week. And no, the iron is NOT on!
